Huggy Buddy  -  baby-holding robot
“Being held” — something adults often forget the importance of. But for young children, it’s more than comfort; it’s essential for emotional and physical growth. As dual-income families rise and childcare resources become scarce, the need to share the act of holding is only growing. We propose a new kind of buddy — one that embraces the future.
A hammock woven with rubber artificial muscles gently rises and falls through the inflow and release of air. As it descends, the tension of the hammock loosens, creating a sensation of the body being softly enveloped.
